THE PKM MACHINE GUN
The original PK (Pulemyot Kalashnikova - "Kalashnikov's Machine gun") was a development of Kalashnikov's automatic rifle design, firing the 7.62x54mmR Eastern Bloc standard ammunition originally from the Mosin-Nagant. It was adopted in the early 1960s and has been in constant service around the world since then. Anywhere you find a Kalashnikov Rifle being used, you will likely find a PKM as well.
It is equipped with a simple bipod and is designed as a squad-level support weapon also suitable for installation and vehicle mounting. Most are belt-fed, using linked belts. These belts can be linked to any length necessary. The current model is the PKM ("Kalashnikov's Machine gun Modernized"), a modernized, product-improved version of the original PK.
In this first ever DVD production Gabe Suarez and Jim Fuller will show you how to operate and run the PKM Machinegun. Everything from the basic assembly and disassembly, the loading of belts, use of bipod and Stepanov Tripod are discussed. If you ever travel into parts of the world where the Kalashnikov is a staple of society, you will probably run across a PKM. If you ever think you will ever have a need to operate a PKM in anger, but have not been schooled in its use or intricacies, this DVD will give you all the information you need.
